Dr. Andrew Coombs is a Teaching Assistant Professor in Memorial University’s Faculty of

Education. Andrew’s research programme focuses on understanding the factors shaping early career

teachers’ assessment practices and assessment learning needs. His research can be found in

Teaching and Teacher Education, Assessment in Education: Principles, Policy & Practice, Cogent

Education, Canadian Journal of Education, Educational Research and Evaluation, Assessment

Matters, Educational Research, Heliyon, and Studies in Educational Evaluation as well as
